Ooooh! There's "Branding" going on at Intel

Pcm_headerThere’s a great column on the PCMag site today about the inanity of Intel’s new naming scheme for their new chips. John Dvorak takes them to task.

He’s absolutely right on every count. Frankly, I’m surprised they didn’t change the name of their company as well.

ViivlogoThey’re un-branding a brand. Can you imagine some naming company rebranding the Chevy Corvette? “Well, this just isn’t the same as that underpowered little coupe from 1953. It needs a new name. Let’s snap up VIIV before someone else grabs it for a computer chip or something….WHAT!!? We’re too late?  Damn! Back to the drawing board.”

Ignorance gone to seed.
