THE OHIO Valley’s retail community has a new crown jewel nestled in the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia.
Known as the World’s Foremost Outfitter for hunting, fishing and outdoor gear, Cabela’s officially opened the doors of its newest retail store to the public today. The huge, multimillion-dollar facility near Wheeling is expected to draw visitors from across the country and around the world, resulting in a significant economic impact for the entire tri-state area.

On Wednesday, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and special preview was held at the new Cabela’s. Executives with the Nebraska-based company said the West Virginia location was a perfect fit for the outdoor merchandise giant.
