People have asked me what the hell is wrong. I haven’t been blogging. I haven’t been in touch. "Are you alive Dave?" is what I hear.
Here’s the situation: I’ve been locked in my Wizard Cave learning some cool new things. I’ve also been locked in my Wizard Mini-Van travelling to see clients and attend meetings.
Here’s what I’m learning. I’m being trained to design websites using the Persuasion Architecture tools of the Eisenbergs. That’s right, the Brooklyn boys are giving this hick from the sticks a glimpse inside the top secret toolshed at FutureNow.
What I’ve learned so far has amazed me and frankly made me one cocky, sure-of-myself mofo. This technique rocks.
Here’s the premise: Most people tweak and "fix" their site to improve their conversion rates. The PA process is about designing conversion into the site with the assumption that all of the traffic came to buy. If we get less than 100%, it’s OUR FAULT. Let’s fix that!
It’s not cheap or easy. The expensive thing to do, is to let all your traffic continue to buy things from other people. I guess that’s also the easy thing to do.
Did I mention that I’ll be available to wave this magic wand over your site?
What else have I been studying? I’ll save that for another post.
Hey, Dave… so glad to hear that you’re still alive.
Now, has anyone heard from Tim Miles?
